Welcome to Our School

Welcome to Tutor Time of Commerce, MI! Our school is located at 8011 Commerce Road, behind the Speedway, and proudly serves families in the Commerce, West Bloomfield, White Lake, and Waterford communities. We’re proud to share that our school is NAEYC accredited, ensuring top-quality learning and care for your child.

We offer programs for Infants, Toddlers, Twos, Preschool, Pre-K, and Before- and After-School Clubs. Families can choose full-time or part-time schedules, as well as Summer Camp. We also offer the Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP), a free, state-funded Pre-K program for eligible families. Children can also enjoy enrichment programs such as Music, Gymnastics, Spanish, and Soccer.

Our staff has more than 100 years of combined experience and the majority of our lead teachers have been with Tutor Time for over 10 years. All of our teachers are CPR and First Aid certified and maintain 20 hours of training, annually.

Children love spending time in The Village, our purposefully designed multi-purpose room that enriches learning through unique materials, open-ended play, and collaborative exploration.

Love my sons teachers! Ms. Taylor is very attentive and caring towards all of the kids! She always makes sure to do activities throughout the day with the kids and is great at sending pictures of it as well. I also love that they have a video streaming app so you can check in on your child throughout the day and see what they’re doing.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Development

Certifications: CPR/First Aid Certified

My name is Melissa, I am the center director of Commerce Tutor Time! I have a bachelor's degree in psychology from Oakland University as well as an associate's degree in early childhood development. I have over 13 total years of experience working in early childhood development and I have been with the company for the last ten years.

Education: Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Development

Certifications: CPA/First Aid Certified

I have worked in the early childhood education field for eight years and have been with the company for the last seven years.
