The Benefits of Before- and After-School Programming

Finding care for your school-age student can be tricky but is often necessary due to work and family schedules. Learning Care Group is here to help

Our before- and after-school programming offers a safe, social environment where your student can spend their time during the morning and afternoon hours on either side of their school day. We can also help during conferences, half days, and other common reasons they might not have class.

Our school-age programming offers transportation, snacks, homework help, and FUN.

Homework Help

• We understand working families have limited time to spend with their students after the school day. Our program offers support to students so they can complete their homework assignments before heading home for the day. Students can also use this time to work with their peers who may have similar assignments.

Play-based Experiences

• The time spent before school can set the tone for the entire day. Our program will allow students to engage in goal-setting and other activities to prepare them for a successful day.
• After school is a great time for students to collaborate with peers, move their bodies, and have fun! Play-based learning provides an opportunity for students to be creative, think critically, and navigate new obstacles to sharpen problem-solving skills. In the school-age classroom, we want students to stay engaged and enjoy learning through these activities.
• Outdoor activities provide students with time to unwind. School days can sometimes be demanding; fresh air and outdoor experiences can reduce stress and increase focus as they head into school or begin homework.
• Through playful experiences and the development of critical life skills, your student will be set up for future success no matter where they’re at in their learning journey.

Healthy Snacks

• Our Grow Fit® program ensures healthy meals and snacks for all enrolled students, including big kids! Ask school leadership which meal and snack options will be available for your student during before- and after-school programming.

Daily Transportation

• A big challenge for working families is ensuring students have safe, reliable rides to and from school. When possible, we provide transportation to and from local schools within the district each day. Drop your child off in the morning and get an alert when they get dropped off after school. Then, pick them up on your way home!
