Hi friends! It’s Stacey from Glued To My Crafts with an awesome craft idea that will make everyone's day EXTRA BRIGHT as we get a little crafty together!
We are kicking off the first day of school with an easy to make handprint lightbulb keepsake craft idea that is focused around the theme "my future looks bright!" Today's craftivity is a great way to start off the new school year on a really positive note, as well as making a keepsake piece that kids and parents can look back on, for years to come.
Today's tutorial is an inexpensive paper and paint handprint craft idea that will give kids the perfect excuse to get a little messy on the first day, all while creating a bright & colorful piece of artwork that is sure to be loved by anyone who lays their eyes on it. I also want to add that this is such a great way to "rediscover" what it means to go back to in person school and return to a much more normal routine with in-person learning.
To complete this first day of school craft idea, all you need to do is print the freebie file that I provided below in the supply list, grab some washable yellow craft paint and have your child add their handprint to the center to complete the lightbulb craft. That's it! Very basic materials and steps, making this a simple craft idea that ANYONE can recreate. No fancy skills or elaborate materials. I promise, it's that easy to recreate!
On that note, I'm hoping you are ready to roll up those sleeves and get to work! I also hope your little one has a great first day of school and I just know you both are going to have a BRIGHT year ahead. Now go ahead and download the file below & get to work on making a one-of-a-kind keepsake piece with your child today. Happy crafting, my friends!
