'Tis the season for the iconic, pastel green, mint chocolate shakes! These festive treats certainly might taste good for a few minutes, but they are full of empty calories, sugar and fat. Here is a recipe for a healthier version that you can make at home – a delicious way to celebrate St Patrick’s Day with your little ones!
Healthy Mint Chocolate Chip Milkshake
Serves 1-2
Ingredients:
1 cup low-fat vanilla ice cream
1 ripe banana, frozen
1/8 Tsp peppermint extract
1 ½ C milk of your choice
½ C baby spinach, washed
Pinch salt
1-2 Tbsp chocolate chips, optional
