
Ready for a fresh start with the new year? Here are some simple ways to work with your child on having a positive outlook and approach in 2021. These are just suggestions, so don’t worry if you don’t get them all done. Each day is a new day and another opportunity to try something for the first time (or second, or third). Also, feel free to come up with your own ideas! Ready? Let’s get started: 
- I will be friendly to all animals.  
 - I will learn how to ask the owners if I can pet their animal first. 
 - If I need help, I will ask for it. 
 - I will brush my teeth every morning and before going to bed. 
 - I will wash my hands after going to the bathroom and before I eat anything. 
 - I will clean up my toys when I’m done using them. 
 - I will make my bed. 
 - I will listen to my parents. 
 - I will never hit. 
 - I will read a new book each (day, week, or month). 
 - I will get out and play every sunny day. 
 - If I feel like I’m getting mad, I will walk away and calm down. 
 - I will try new foods. 
 - I will keep my room clean. 
 - I will spend less time on electronics. 
 - I will eat a fruit and vegetable with every meal.
