Meet Ms. Rosa, Preschool Teacher at Tutor Time in Plantation, FL! Currently, she works with three- and four-year-olds, and did we mention that she’s been at Tutor Time for 20 years?! Read our Q&A to learn more about this wonderful member of our staff!

Why did you decide to teach little ones?

I love kids and I love teaching! I give them a lot of love.

Why do you love your job?

I enjoy my job because I like my parents and I like playing with and teaching my kids.

What types of activities do you do with your students throughout the day?

I’m reading stories, we discuss the stories. I teach them colors, we review the calendar, learn numbers and build with blocks.

Sounds like a fun day! Your kids must love being in your class.

Oh, my kids love me! They love me too much! They give me hugs. They say, “Ms. Rosa I want to play with you! Come on, Ms. Rosa!” My kids love me. And my parents, too!

Do you have a close relationship with the parents of your students?

Yeah! I’m really close with my parents. When my parents come in in the morning I say, “Hi, how are you? How is your morning? How are your kids?” I always ask the parents about how their kids are doing.

What are you most proud of in terms of your career?

I’m proud of myself, because of the amount of time I’ve been working with the kids. I’ve been at Tutor Time for 20 years!

What do you enjoy about teaching preschool?

I like this group. I’m with the three- and four-year-old students. They want to learn!

Twenty years is quite an accomplishment! What do you love so much about working here?

I love my kids. I have a lot of fun with them. And I enjoy it. I’ll say sometimes, “I’m older, I don’t want to work anymore!” But then I think about my kids, and I want to go to work!
